Born and raised in Westchester County, NY, Beth left home for warmer weather to study business at the University of Florida. After graduating cum laude with a degree in marketing and management, she embarked on what would become a 20+ year career in retail buying. Her love of fashion and trends brought her back to NY to buy numerous categories at Bloomingdale’s. She was a three time Best of the Best recipient, which is Bloomingdale’s award for the buyer with the best annual financial performance. In addition, Beth honed her negotiation skills, as well as relationship building, during a several year stint at the off-price retailer, Ross Stores. However, the pinnacle of her career was going back to Bloomingdale’s to help them successfully open their first off-price division of stores.
Wanting to be closer to the customer, Beth decided to make a career change to real estate while buying home goods for Bloomingdale’s. She saw an opportunity to use the customer listening and negotiation skills she honed in retail to create a customer centered experience as a real estate agent. She understands that having a trusted advisor in your corner is key when deciding to buy or sell your home. It felt very natural for her to join Mackey Realty, with their stated mission of Motivated by Clients. Driven by Family. Welcoming you Home.
Beth and her family are thrilled to be settled in Charlotte. Her husband, David, is a native North Carolinian, long-time Charlottean, and UNC-Chapel Hill graduate. Obviously with Beth being a lifelong Duke fan, she has needed to navigate basketball season very carefully. They recently purchased a home in Dilworth, across the street from Freedom Park, a family favorite. Any given day she can be found riding her bicycle with her daughter, Ava, along the greenway, walking her rescue dog, Bella, around the neighborhood, or asking her teenage son, Ethan, to put down his cell phone. Her twin bonus sons, Nate and Patrick, who attend Myers Park High School, round out their family of six.
